Mysore Practice, Meditation, Philosophy, and Pranayama.
Enjoy an intensive yoga week where you can delve deep into Ashtanga Yoga and other mindfulness practices.

Despite its physical dynamics, Ashtanga Yoga is first and foremost one thing: a mindfulness practice. Through daily practice, we not only build muscles and improve our flexibility, but also train ourselves to become aware of our body and mind. Being a non-judgmental observer of what is happening helps us open ourselves to the world and life. Yogic and Buddhist philosophy emphasizes this central aspect of yoga. We want to focus on this aspect during our week.

The week is structured so that you can truly learn something and deepen your practice in the aspect of mindfulness. At the same time, it is also possible to take a more relaxed approach to the week, not participating in all sessions, and focusing on rest.

Our schedule

This is an example of the daily schedule. We may make minor changes throughout the week as needed to ensure everyone has a good time and still have enough time to explore and enjoy nature.

8:15-10:30 a.m.: Mysore practice

Leni and Franzi introduce themselves

Franzi

Franzi discovered Ashtanga Yoga in her twenties while studying. Her fascination and humility with yoga have never left her.

For her, yoga is an invitation to connection. To the hidden parts of the self. To the inner depths. To other beings. To the energy of the universe. Yoga means deep and receptive listening. One in which everything that is can simply be. Yoga is about giving space. It opens up the possibility of love.

Franzi believes that the Ashtanga Vinyasa system offers opportunities to build strength and flexibility, deepen the breath, and improve health. But beyond that, it is the gateway to a philosophical system that enriches life in all its facets.

Franzi has studied and practiced yoga with international teachers such as Richard Freeman, Mary Tylor, Ty Landrum, and Gregor Maehle. She has extensive knowledge of asana, pranayama, and philosophy and draws on many years of experience teaching this practice to international audiences and in various settings, including government institutions in Germany.

She draws inspiration from her own practice, daily walks in the forest, her teachers, ideas from Jiddu Krishnamurti, and the poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke.

Leni

From a young age, Leni was fascinated by both human physiology and philosophy, and how different paradigms of these two fields are connected on a spiritual level.

While in medical school, she encountered the practice of Mysore-style Ashtanga Yoga and meditation.

She then immersed herself fully in this practice and began to delve deeper into yoga philosophy and Ayurveda.

Along the way, she had the opportunity to study with and be inspired by teachers such as Dr. Ronald Steiner, Richard Freeman, Mary Taylor, Tim Feldmann, Kino Macgregor, Sharat Jois, Eddie Stern, David Williams, and Nancy Gilgoff, to name a few. She is currently studying with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach to become a certified mindfulness meditation teacher.

Leni is a licensed medical doctor, an AYI expert teacher, and a Yoga Alliance-accredited 500-hour yoga teacher trainer.

In recent years, she has taught in various disciplines and participated in numerous teacher training courses.

As a dedicated practitioner, she combines her knowledge of yoga philosophy and human physiology with her personal practical experience, skillfully placing it in a spiritual context.

Leni is happy to share her acquired knowledge with anyone who is seriously interested in continuously exploring and developing their individual practices.
